PRIVATE LESSONS

60 min | $60.00

Weekly or twice-weekly private violin lessons, regularly scheduled group lessons, activities, and performances.

I started taking violin lessons from Marsali when I was seven years old. Not only did she teach me about violin and music, but she implemented all of her teaching in the most beautiful way to teach me about life and love and how to share that love with others. I grew up hearing her playing and singing in her home, riding in her car to youth symphony practices, and attended countless concerts where she performed with the symphony, and had my very first Suzuki recital in her front room with my itty-bitty violin. Marsali taught me not only to play the violin and fall in love with music, but most of all, she taught me how to share that passion and love with the entire world. I will always be grateful for my very first and very favorite teacher.

Marsali Hancock was a fantastic teacher for our young (3yo) son Isaac. She is so loving and clear in giving directions and helped us know exactly what to do at home. Her musicianship and technique as a performer are superb and she really helped our son develop a love for music right from the beginning. Ms. Hancock’s experience as a mother and teacher are very apparent as she teaches technique, theory and music in very clear ways and always made it fun for my son.

It is a joy to see students, of all ages, find and speak with their musical voice. Creating and sharing brings people together. It bridges generations and binds us together as one human family.
